Overview
The Gulf's richest blue marlin tournament and finale of the Gulf Coast Triple Crown, fished each July from The Wharf Marina in Orange Beach with the marlin hoisted by crane at the weigh-in.
The Blue Marlin Grand Championship is held every July at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. The fleet departs behind a pace boat through Perdido Pass on Thursday and must return through Mobile Pass to Saturday's public weigh-in, where blue marlin (110-inch minimum) are weighed alongside tuna, dolphin and wahoo; billfish releases are scored on video.
The 2026 tournament (July 14-19) set records with 75 boats and $2,115,343 in prize money, won by A Work of Art with a 641.2-pound blue marlin. It is the final leg of the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Championship. Future dates through 2029 are published on the site.
