Overview
Thirty-year-old one-day king mackerel tournament and reef-building fundraiser at the Mexico Beach public boat ramp, with Open and Recreational divisions.
The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association Kingfish Tournament is a one-day July king mackerel tournament on Florida's Forgotten Coast that funds MBARA's artificial reef program. Boats 26 ft and over, or with professional anglers/captains aboard, fish the Open division; smaller all-amateur boats fish a Recreational division.
The 2026 (30th annual) event followed a Friday captains' party and Saturday fishing/weigh-in at the Mexico Beach boat ramp, with cash for the top places in each division, a pelagic purse, optional senior/ladies/junior divisions and target-weight calcuttas. The 2025 edition drew 122 boats.
